On Friday, September 11, Austin Independent School District (AISD) will be conducting a cross-country event at Onion Creek Metro Park from 7:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.

During this time, there will be a higher volume of both vehicle and pedestrian traffic in and around the park. Areas expected to experience increased traffic include:

• Vertex Boulevard
• Nuckols Crossing Road
• The vicinity of Blazier Elementary School
• The vicinity of Blazier Middle School

Residents and visitors are encouraged to plan and allow extra travel time if transiting through these areas during the event.

Please note that Onion Creek Metro Park will remain open to the public during the event. Members of the Austin community and residents of Goodnight Ranch are welcome to continue enjoying the park; however, they should expect increased activity and traffic throughout the event hours.
